Your Guide to a Worry-Free Experience for Your Wedding in Destin on the SOLARIS Yacht
Planning a destination wedding can be challenging and stressful if you don’t live in or near the destination. Making decisions and plans are hard when you aren’t physically there to see or research them.
Most of the planning can be done over the phone or via email and we’ll stay in constant contact throughout the entire process. Our wedding planner is your trusted, local resource for not only the SOLARIS but for experienced outside vendors we have worked with before. We can recommend anything from accommodations and transportation to photographers and bakers who have experience with SOLARIS weddings and who we are happy to coordinate the day of your wedding.
Here are few other things our brides can expect for their Destin wedding:
After selecting your wedding package and booking the date, you will meet with your wedding planner to discuss your style, your vision and brainstorm everything from themes and colors to linens, chair covers and decor. We’ll consult with you on our preferred vendors who are not only experienced with SOLARIS weddings but can accommodate any budget. Together we will plan your fine dining reception menu from fresh Gulf seafood to specialty drinks. You are not alone…we will stay in constant contact whether you live locally or across the country.
The Big Day:
It’s all hands on deck! Your wedding coordinator has been up early to execute every detail of your vision and coordinate with outside vendors. A member of our staff will meet you with a golf cart to escort you to the SOLARIS. Relax and get ready in your private bridal suite with large mirrors, special lighting, restroom and make-up table. Enjoy a champagne toast with your bridesmaids as we set out to sea for your dream wedding. Ascend the staircase to the open-air sky deck for your grand entrance to meet your groom at the bridal platform and say your vows.
The Celebration: Everyone stays together as you immediately cruise into the celebration as husband and wife in the same location you got married. Capture these serene moments with pictures in a majestic setting. Enjoy 3 decks of memorable fun including a romantic first dance and toasts under the twilight sky, live entertainment, delectable food and refreshing drinks. Your send-off is just as special with options including fireworks, dove or butterfly releases, bubbles, sparklers and even a decorated golf cart. Guests can unwind and enjoy the good times as they stay on-property at one of the resort’s many accommodations.
It’s all about the shimmer this year with silver and gold touches on everything from the wedding dresses to decorations and cakes. Luckily for our SOLARIS brides, mother nature provides glistening silver & gold accents naturally, including the colorful sunset reflecting on the water. These metallics can be complimented with some many colors, from turquoise blue and emerald greens to the 2014 Pantone Color of the Year – Radiant Orchid (a beautiful pinky-purple shade).
Cruising Through Unique Entertainment for Your Wedding
Couples want to make their wedding as memorable and special to their guests as it is to them. Enter unique entertainment – from Photobooths to well, yacht weddings, guests will be treated this year to a plethora of memorable experiences. And if it’s a destination wedding, you really want to give your guests a once-in-a-lifetime experience to thank them for making the trip. One of the main comments we hear from our SOLARIS couples about their wedding is how memorable of an experience it was for them AND their guests – from unlimited views of the sunset while cruising the water to dancing on the open air sky deck.
HashTag Destin Wedding Cruise
Disposable cameras are so 1999. This year, more couples will create their own custom hashtags that are displayed on tables for guests to post wedding pictures to Twitter and Instagram. This is an easy way for everyone to connect over the photos in one location. Some fun hashtags our wedding planners will use for SOLARIS couples this year? #[first names or last name]solariswedding #weddingcruisedestin
Hang In There for a Dramatic Look for Your Wedding
Another big trend for 2014 weddings is taking your decor from tabletop to the ceiling. Our wedding planners have anchored all types of decor from the ceilings of the elegant SOLARIS dining rooms, from crepe paper to flowers and lanterns.
