For over 14 years, SunQuest Cruises has helped hundreds of couples cruise into wedded bliss with unforgettable and amazing weddings and receptions on the waters of Destin Florida. Our wedding planners work closely with each couple to make their big day as special and unique as they are. If you are searching for a wedding venue in Destin Florida, here are the top reasons to say “I Do” to the SOLARIS Yacht.

1. Location, Location, Location – Location is everything when searching for a wedding and reception venue. Whether it’s a large destination wedding or an intimate wedding, couples are searching for unique experiences for them and their guests. The Destin and Sandestin areas are popular locations for destination weddings because of the emerald green waters, sugar white beaches and plenty of activities for guests.

Combine the beauty of the Destin area with a 125 foot yacht for a wedding venue location that’s majestic beyond belief. There’s nothing more unforgettable than hosting a Destin wedding on the SOLARIS yacht as it cruises the open waters at sunset. The natural beauty of Destin and Sandestin are showcased in a unique setting as the SOLARIS yacht offers absolute privacy and unobstructed views of the sunset. Plus your guests can stay on property at the all-inclusive Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.

2. Convenience – In addition to the convenience of our location, our wedding and reception packages include the services of our full-time wedding planners who have planned weddings for hundreds of couples. Beyond Destin beach weddings, flower arrangements, entertainment, chefs and decor, our wedding planners can suggest and coordinate with trusted local vendors for the rest of your wedding needs. Our planners are with you from start to finish.

The SOLARIS venue itself is convenient for weddings and receptions for many reasons. The SOLARIS yacht was built with weddings in mind, with a private bridal suite on board as well as a full-service bar, bridal platform on the sky deck for sunset ceremonies and photo platform for stunning pictures. Your reception starts immediately after your wedding at the same venue, with three decks of indoor and outdoor spaces for up to 150 people.

3. Value – Our wedding and reception packages offer a variety of flexible options to accommodate your budget, from semi-private to private charters. In addition to planning services, our wedding and reception packages also include award-winning cuisines made freshly aboard the yacht’s galley by our executive chefs.

4. Unforgettable Memories – What’s more unforgettable or amazing than a wedding on the open waters of a majestic 125′ yacht? We constantly receive comments and reviews from our couples who say that their guests are still talking about what a memorable occasion their wedding was.

Our couples embark on the wedding experience of a lifetime as they get married by our captain on the bridal platform of the SOLARIS sky deck at sunset and dance under the stars.

5. Peace of Mind – For 8 consecutive years, SunQuest Cruises has been the recipient of testimonial-based awards from the wedding industry’s most trusted sources. Reviews from our couples have earned us the Knot’s Best of Weddings Award and inducted us into the Knot’s Weddings Hall of Fame. In addition, we continue to earn WeddingWire’s Couples Choice award.

Destin Weddings on SOLARIS Yacht – Seth + Rachel

Destin Weddings on SOLARIS Yacht – Seth + Rachel

Destin Weddings on the SOLARIS Yacht Sandestin – Celebrating Seth & Rachel

Congratulations to Seth and Rachel on their Florida destination wedding on the SOLARIS yacht venue with a fun group of friends and family. The day began at sunrise with Destin beach wedding pictures, where some of Rachel’s bridesmaids experienced the Gulf of Mexico for the first time.

As Rachel got ready with her bridesmaids on-board the yacht’s private bridal suite, the SOLARIS cruised out into the open waters on an absolutely beautiful day for a Destin wedding.

Rachel stunned in a strapless, full length, mermaid-style beaded wedding gown while her bridesmaids wore full length, strapless navy blue dresses. Rachel’s bouquet featured an eclectic mix of vibrant yellow sunflowers, roses and navy blue accents.

Seth and Rachel met on the open air sky deck of the SOLARIS, with the bridal arch dawned in the same mix of flowers. Instead of a unity candle, they took part in a Blending of the Sands ceremony, a perfect complement to the nautical / beach theme for their wedding. Seth and Rachel exchanged vows and sealed it with a kiss on the sky deck as the SOLARIS sailed out into the sunset.

After wedding pictures, they went right into celebrating with a fun reception of food and music on the water. Guests indulged in chef-prepared meals and guests danced to live music. To end the night, Seth and Rachel exited under a tunnel of sparklers from guests.

Our Destin wedding planners were thrilled to partner with Destin wedding photographer,
Mari Darr-Welch who captured each moment perfectly.

Congrats again to Seth and Rachel on their amazing wedding!

Destin Beach Weddings – Cayci and Trent June 2016

Congrats to Cayci and Trent who hosted a dream Destin wedding in June 2016 – it began with a beach wedding followed by a sunset reception on the SOLARIS yacht wedding venue. From beach to bay, they celebrated with the ultimate wedding in Destin Florida, using two of the most memorable wedding venues – the beach and a 125 foot yacht.

The SunQuest Cruises wedding planners worked with Cayci and Trent from Nashville to make their dream wedding vision come to life. Having the SunQuest Cruises wedding team plan everything from the beach wedding in Destin to the yacht reception in Sandestin made it a seamless and stress free process.

The beach wedding took place on a perfect June day near Sandpiper Cove in Destin Florida. Cayci stunned in a long length, sleeveless white gown with exquisite jewel details that accentuated her shoulders and shined brilliantly in the sun. The bridal party wore navy and white while the groom and groomsmen looked dapper in black tuxedos – all with their toes in the sand for the big day. The couple was married by Captain Matt of the SOLARIS yacht. After the beach wedding, guests were transported to the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort and boarded the 125 foot SOLARIS yacht for a sunset reception out at sea.

From their Wedding Page – as told by Cayci:

HOW WE MET – Long ago, there were two people who set off on a big adventure…
I was a freshman at The University of Tennessee in Knoxville and had decided to rush a sorority. During this process the older girls tell you to hang around the dorm and not to be seen going out if its not for a rush event. Luckily I met girls in my dorm that were going through rush as well. One night they asked if I wanted to go over to their friend’s apartment from high school. I said yes, and we headed over to Grand Forest in our t-shirts and Nike shorts. I walked inside and met this tall, skinny, long blonde hair, green eyed guy named Trent. He had the biggest personality and the best smile! Little did I know that 9 years later, after many adventures together, I would be writing this story on our wedding website!

THE ENGAGEMENT
Trent and I decided to take a trip to Gatlinburg for the weekend to relax and see the changing of the leaves. Saturday we woke up and headed to the top of The Smokey Mountains. We took a long drive up to Clingmans Dome and hiked to the top! After many stops to catch my breath, we made it to the top of the observation tower. We didn’t stay long because it was very windy and crowded. We decided to hike down to the Appalachian Trail to find a bluff, and boy did we get lucky! After sitting on the bluff and talking for a while, Trent scooted back a little. I asked him what was wrong and he said, “you know I don’t like heights.” My response was, “I was wondering how you had been sitting on the edge so long.” I asked if he wanted to hike down the trail a little further and find another bluff, he agreed. I got up and turned to walk and he was on one knee with THE ring! He had that smile I love and asked me to marry him! Of course we are both crying and all I can do is shake my head yes, at which point I realized I needed to use my words and said YES!
