Weekly Spring Break Fireworks Dinner Cruises, Easter Lunch and Sandestin Wine Festival

There are many reasons to ‘spring’ aboard SunQuest Cruises SOLARIS Yacht in Destin, Florida. As the only dining and entertainment yacht in Destin Florida, the SOLARIS yacht’s weekly dinner cruises are a popular activity for families, couples and friends during the spring and summer seasons. In addition to the weekly public dinner cruises, there are many specialty dinner cruises scheduled to welcome a new season of fun and unforgettable memories.

“We are thrilled to add some specialty dinner cruises and signature events to our regular spring schedule,” stated James Murray, General Manager for SunQuest Cruises. “Our goal continues to be to offer every guest an unforgettable meal and experience on our beautiful local waters.”

Beginning March 21st, the SOLARIS will host a weekly Fireworks and Dancing Dinner Cruise every Tuesday night in Destin for the next three weeks from 6 – 9 p.m. The Solaris is a popular alternative to fine dining restaurants in Destin. The evening begins with cocktails from the full-service bar as the 125 foot yacht cruises the local waters with panoramic views. Guests will indulge in a three-course, chef prepared fine dining meal featuring prime steaks, fresh Gulf seafood and more. Live music can be heard from all three decks, including the open air sky deck. The night concludes with a bang as the sky above illuminates with fireworks from Sandestin’s Village of Baytowne Wharf.

SunQuest Cruises’s annual Easter Lunch Cruise in Destin has become a time honored tradition for families seeking a relaxing and memorable experience. The open air, sky deck becomes a popular starting point for pictures and to take in the amazing views and fresh air. The SOLARIS chefs freshly prepare the three-course meal aboard the yacht’s galley. This year’s menu includes Southern Shrimp and Grits, Blackened Bone-in Pork Chop, Petit Filet, Pasta Primavera and a special children’s menu. The Easter Lunch Cruise is from 1 – 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 16th.

The highly anticipated Sandestin Wine Festival kicks off just steps away on the SOLARIS yacht on Friday, April 21st from 12 – 3 p.m. This signature Champagne and Seafood Lunch Cruise begins with a dockside reception at noon. As the SOLARIS cruises the local waters, patrons will indulge in a culinary voyage of four decadent courses, all paired with premium champagnes. Menu highlights include a butter-poached Lobster Salad with a Chandon Brut and Coconut Sake Cocktail, Shrimp Ceviche with a French 75 cocktail, Jumbo Sea Scallops with Chandon Sweet Star Champagne and Blackened Red Fish paired with Cliquot Yellow Label Champagne.

Celebrate Spring Break in Destin With Crawfish and Blues Cruise

Spring Break in Destin Florida kicks off with a SOLARIS Crawfish and Blues Cruise

Enjoy Cruise & Blues, Bugs & Brews on SunQuest Cruises SOLARIS’ second annual Crawfish Cruise on Sunday, March 29th from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. Guests will indulge in a spread fit for a Cajun King (or queen) as the SOLARIS chefs serve freshly boiled, perfectly seasoned crawfish while cruising the beautiful waters and listening to live blues music by Cadillac Willy.

“It’s time for some fun in the sun as we combine the best of both worlds from New Orleans and Destin,” stated James Murray, General Manager for SOLARIS. “There’s no better way to kick off spring in Destin than cruising the water and enjoying fresh seafood.”

Murray is reverting back to his Louisiana roots and taking the traditional crawfish boil to the water on the SOLARIS yacht – an experience not available anywhere else on Northwest Florida’s Gulf Coast. Patrons will soak up the sun from the SOLARIS sky deck as they enjoy exquisite coastal cuisines in a Cajun-inspired, fun environment including Crawfish with all the trimmings from corn to potatoes. Other options include Shrimp, Jambalaya and Hot Dogs with Chips for kids. A variety of cold brews will also be available as a refreshing compliment to the day.

No crawfish boil is complete without live blues music. Voted Best Band by Destin Magazine, Emerald Coast Magazine & The BeachComber, Cadillac Willy has played all along the Emerald Coast for over 14 years. They’ve shared the stage with celebrities such as Emeril, American Idol’s Taylor Hicks and Edwin McCain to name a few.  Blues music by Cadillac Willy will engulf all three decks of the SOLARIS yacht while guests eat, drink and dance.
